Career Experience

Prior to joining Tercon Partners, Mark had a thirty-two year career at Eli Lilly and Company holding senior positions in Process Engineering, Human Resources, Performance Improvement (Six Sigma), Capital Program Management and Capital Sourcing Management. In one assignment, he had responsibility for initiating and growing a joint venture relationship with a major engineering company to provide small projects capital programs in North America, England, Ireland, France, and Puerto Rico.

Mark was the Global Director of Sourcing for the capital program for Eli Lilly and served on the Global Capital Engineering leadership team for ten years.  During this time, he gained knowledge in the areas of contracting, procurement, and strategic alliance management.  In this role he worked to establish Win-Win relationships through his team with major EPC firms, materials suppliers, and modular design & delivery companies and facilities management corporations.    In addition he had responsibility for energy and utility contracts and relationships.

During his career in project and program management, Mark has been a contributing author to Special Projects Manual, a text generated through the Construction Industry Institute that established best practices for structure processes, and management of small capital teams, as well as two additional books on project and construction management best practices. Mark was also a contributor to the initial version of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) developed by PMI. This is currently the text used to certify Project Management Professionals (PMP).

As VP Business Development & Director of North American Operations, Hodson serves as the Lead Consultant for the world’s largest LNG Project, coordinating senior Tercon Partners Consultant working across four continents. He assists clients in building and sustaining high performing teams and provides coaching to project leaders in the areas critical to successful project performance. Mark leads the planning & delivery of Senior Leadership Conference where key strategies, milestones and deliverables for the upcoming year are communicated to the top project leaders. Mark works with Senior Project Leaders & Tercon Partners consulting team to create & deliver a Team Development Program that addresses development needs most crucial to achieving project objectives in the next business cycle.
