The first step was for TPI to conduct interviews with a cross-section of PBS employees to become familiar with the issues, unique work demands and challenges faced by the programs participants. Mini-case studies were then developed for classroom discussion and skill-building purposes. Another feature of the program was for participants to work in small teams to complete Action Learning assignments focused on solving a problem or improving a work process encountered in their work environment.

Outcomes Achieved:

Participant ratings for the program averaged between 4.3 to 4.8 on a five point Likert Scale. Best-liked features of the program included the team assignment, the fact that the classroom training was highly interactive and the knowledgeable instructors.
